How To Join CD Tracks In iTunes 11

Since iTunes updated their software, it looks like the Join CD Tracks feature was removed. I did a lot of searching online and saw that it worked for some people and didn’t work for others. I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and hopefully help out anyone that wasn’t able to find a solution:

- Open iTunes

There is a drop down menu in the top left corner of iTunes, you will select this and then choose your Audio CD from the list.

Across the top, you will select Edit and then Select All. This will select all of your tracks that you would like to merge.

Now you should able to click Options in the top right corner of iTunes and then select Join CD Tracks.

Now you should be able to click Options in the top right corner of iTunes, and then select Join CD Tracks.

You can now select Import CD and choose MP3 as how you would like to import the CD.

There you have it. You should now have an MP3 with all of your CD’s tracks :)

Please let me know how this worked out for you!

  1. Thanks for this, but the problem I am trying to solve involves two tracks in the same album downloaded from the Itunes store. The last two tracks should always be played together. But if I have shuffle turned on, they do not play together. Any ideas?

  2. Ah life saver! Thank you! Was getting so confused with all the ways people were saying! Pictures deffo needed! Thanks again!!

  3. I still can’t get it to work. Very frustrated! I have tried so many things and still can’t find the Join CD

  4. This does not work. One fix was you had to toggle the order of the tracks back and forth, but that no longer works in the newest new version. So, does anyone know what the newest trick is, if any, or does Apple just not want us to be able to rip CD’s into itunes?

  5. I think it works! I don’t have anything that says “audio CD” though. But by clicking on the name of the CD under “Devices” I get the same effect.
